Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac is the most complete productivity solution for users on the Macintosh platform. Office 2008 for Mac features a redesigned user interface, a powerful new graphics and charting engine for creating high-impact and compelling documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, plus a new themes capability that simplifies the process of applying a consistent look and feel across documents. This is the first new Office for Mac release in four years, and one that's been designed to take on Apple's iWork apps. Although the programs are still Carbon, rather than Cocoa, they now combine the look-and-feel of OS X 10.5 with some of the innovations Microsoft introduced in Office 2007
